Applicants must have good communication skills, possess a desire to help customers, and really, really love bicycles.
Bike-shop experience helpful, but not necessary. Everyone on our team will learn a variety of bicycle-mechanic skills, have an opportunity to lead our rides, and to spend time talking with riders and would-be riders about bicycles, The Freedom Machine.

Spin Classes Keep you Rollin'
We'll, we've enjoyed a pretty nice November, making it all the way to Turkey Day without having to ride through a lot of snow. But snow will, of course, arrive in the region soon. With ice on the roads and the sun headin' south for the winter, it's the perfect time to move indoors for a few months. Bring you bike down to Island Park Cycles; you can keep rolling in our new training studio. You'll enjoy warm temps and no headwinds AND you can earn discounts on future training sessions and even special coupons on bike gear. No appointment needed.
Ride on your own or join in one of our Spin Classes.
- Individual Workouts are available any time and you can bring in your own training DVD or inspirational music. Of course, we do reserve to the right to censor your selections, so leave the ABBA at home.
- Spin Classes are a 75-minute workout lead by one of our staff and supported with music and video. Be prepared to sweat.
Island Park Cycles' indoor spin classes and sessions start Monday, November 30th.
- Monday - Saturday 10AM to 7PM Trainers are open for individual workouts
- Tuesday & Thursday 5:30 to 7:00PM; Saturday 10:30 to Noon - Group Spin Classes
All classes and individual workout sessions cost $5. Ride a lot and earn discounts and coupons for cycling gear.
